Andrea Santagata

Andrea Santagata has been Chief Innovation Officer of the Mondadori Group since February 2019. He has also been general manager of Mondadori Media S.p.A. since January 2020 and, since May 2021, Information Systems Director.

Born in Pisa in 1972, he graduated cum laude in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pisa. He began his career in the world of the internet and digital in 1999 at Libero.it. His experience in Matrix S.p.A. from 2001 to 2007, where he was marketing director of Virgilio from 2004 to 2007, led him to found Splinder, Italy’s first blogging platform, and the start-ups Liquida and Sitonline.

He continued his professional career at Banzai in 2007, first as head of marketing and, since 2009, as managing director of Banzai Media, acquired by the Mondadori Group in 2016.

Santagata is also a member of the boards of Mediamond and Adkaora.
