The Panorama system continues to grow and announces what’s new in 2015
Icon and Flair, the upscale bi-monthlies of the Panorama system become magazines also with standalone newsstand distribution
Panorama, the newsmagazine edited by Giorgio Mulè, is preparing a 2015 full of new features, confirming the success of the “system” that has surrounded the brand with a combination of activities and editorial initiatives in print, online and across the country.
The first big news, in terms of timing, concerns Icon and Flair, the bimonthly upscale supplements to the Mondadori weekly, published six times per year and edited by Michele Lupi. Starting from the first issues of 2015, on 26 February for Flair and 5 March for Icon, the two titles will also be sold separately from Panorama at the price of €3.50, and then offered together with the weekly in the last week of the month.
This will reinforce the personality of the two magazines and enhance its positioning. With its new look, overseen by art director Davies Costacurta, Icon, in particular, will increasingly present itself as a point of reference for the contemporary man: a magazine that reflects beauty through fashion and style, offering iconic personalities and objects to be inspired by, through an increasingly sophisticated selection of content, images and original stories. But Icon is also a guide that guides the reader around the great passions of men (cars, sport, travel, books, and more), and is able to bring together a “club” of high-level readers, thanks to the web site Icon.panorama.it, increasingly rich in content, and the social pages around which a highly characterised community in terms of identity has grown up
Flair will also be on newsstands as a standalone magazine, confirming the success of its editorial formula: a magazine of style, art and culture, dedicated to women who love fashion in all its forms, a creative hub capable of bringing together the most relevant international talent and the new generations in photography, art, fashion and writing.
What the two magazines have in common is the international scope of the editorial offer: Icon is already available in Spain, launched in 2013, as a supplement to El Pais; and, in 2015, Flair will expand its distribution, with the texts in English attached, to major newsstands in Paris, London, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles and Seoul, as well as the luxury edition in the world’s most prestigious boutiques.
The success of the two magazines is only the first of the phenomena of the entire “Panorama system”, which this year will confirm its extensive nationwide coverage with the Panorama of Italy tour. After the success of last year, the magazine once again sets out to discover the excellence of the Italian provinces, with 10 new stages and a series of new initiatives on the calendar, featuring events and high-level guests.
The Panorama experience of contact with Italian industry has also inspired Panorama Academy, which, in collaboration with the IT university Pegaso, aims to train new professionals in line with the new demands of the labour market, through with master’s course with prestigious teachers and innovative teaching methods.
Along with the editorial activities and the activities around the country, the Panorama system is continuing to develop the online activities of all the areas related to the brand. Beginning with Panorama.it that in September 2014 introduced in a whole new philosophy, focused on an richer editorial offer and above all a way of conceiving advertising formats oriented to native advertising. Choices that in January 2015 saw Panorama.it record its best ever results in terms of unique users (4.9 million, +12% compared with January 2014) and page views (25.2 million, +51% on January 2014 ), according to certified data by Shinystat.
Meanwhile, pending the imminent launch of the web TV channel, PanoramaTV, also Panoramauto.it, continues to grow as a reference point for motoring enthusiasts. Also here, January 2015 was a record month, with more than 1.2 million unique users, up 19% on January 2014 (certified data by Shinystat).
Strengthening the online personality, there is also the strong presence on social platforms, with the Panorama profiles and all those related to the brand of the entire system, guaranteeing an essential gateway to online content and participation in the various activities.
