The new VilleGiardini: a redesign between tradition and novelty
Segrate, 8 March 2012 – VilleGiardini, the upscale monthly for people who love to live in their homes with the exclusive refinement of Italian style, now has both a new form and new content. In fact, from this month the magazine will have a completely new look that is more modern and more in tune with innovations, while maintaining the personality that has distinguished the title since its launch in 1956.
“The new VilleGiardini is characterised by a more dynamic rhythm that is at the same time classic and contemporary, and aimed at addressing new ways of living in harmony with the environment, a rediscovered passion for greenery, the excellence of Italian products and craftsmanship and a profound connection with the territory,” claims the editor Franco Perfetti. “The changes are visible from the more manageable format to the individual content. There is also a new pay-off on the cover which from now on will state ‘Stile Italiano’ (Italian style),” the editor concluded.
Among the most appreciated sections is “Case di charme”, showcasing the most elegant and suggestive homes, with a thematic “Zoom” on the materials used, the structural choices and on entertaining guests, and “Antenne” with suggestions for furnishing solutions. For more details about new production the sections “Vetrina”, “Outdoor” and “Scegliere” have all been renewed and made more consistent with the editorial mix: an essential complement to the information provided in the main features on houses and gardens. Also the guide-columns “Talenti”, “Artigiani Eccellenti” and “Prodotti Doc” have been remodelled and extended to include the food sector: names, addresses and suggestions to help readers choose with confidence the best professionals and the excellence of the Italian tradition.
A special section, “In Viaggio”, is dedicated to places to visit, with high-impact photographic coverage of places of unmistakable fascination and also linked to wellbeing and physical fitness.
Important names offer ideas and advice on living at home surrounded by greenery: Paolo Pejrone on practical issues related to looking after the garden Oliva di Collobiano on the choice of the most appropriate plants specie, as well as Marella Caracciolo who interviews celebrities about the room that best represents their personality.
The section dedicated to nature and gardens has been completely reconfigured. “Il giardino” offers more detailed information thanks to two new columns: “I segreti del vivaista” (The secrets of the nursery) with a specialist who will reveal the secrets of choosing and maintaining plants and “La collezione del mese” (This month’s collection), with an expert who, each time, will outline his ideal collection of plants and flowers.
Finally, a new look that is more homogeneous and elegant has been conceived for “Comprar Casa” (House buying), to include all of the right advice for choosing a house to buy. In addition, each issue will feature a presentation of a “casa di charme” for holiday rental.
The redesign, which was done by the architect and designer Mario Trimarchi, owner of the Studio Fragile in Milan, can also count on the prestigious contributions of great photographers, such as Giovanni Gastel, Oberto Gili and Bernard Touillon.
On the advertising side, the relaunch issue has recorded a good performance and has been widely appreciated by important clients from the world of design who have also planned subsequent issues. Overall, in 2011, VIlleGiardini sold 480 advertising pages to over 100 clients.
