The new Cucina Moderna: more recipes, tricks and advice
The cooking magazine has changed the logo, renewed the layout and enhanced the content, from dishes designed for children, to those for allergies and vegetarians
Cucina Moderna, Italy’s most widely read cooking monthly, edited by Laura Maragliano, will hit the newsstands on Tuesday 10 February, with a completely new look and an even richer offer, from quick and easy everyday meals to detailed advice on specific topics.
“Cucina Moderna is a point of reference for those who want a practical guide to cooking, with easy-to-follow explanations and reliable recipes,” said editor Laura Maragliano. “This is why we have redesigned the magazine to enhance the title’s strengths even more, with greater emphasis on images, that are more detailed and engaging, and to guide readers more easily as they follow the recipes, while also increasing information and advice about ingredients and product quality, “ she concluded.
From this issue Cucina Moderna also has a new logo, enlivened by coloured elements that make it more recognisable, and updating the layout, starting with the cover that will feature more straplines, to give an immediate idea of the variety of the content. The detailed and high-impact images, that accompany the more than 90 step-by-step photographic recipes proposed every month, and the new typefaces used, which are cleared and more readable, all contribute to giving the magazine a more modern and elegant feel.
Also the content has been reorganised to be able to present even more recipes, information practical advice, preparation steps and explanatory boxes. Considerable space is given to the topic of the month, desserts, and new features on Alternative Cooking – with menus suitable for those suffering from allergies, celiac, and for vegetarians and vegans – and food for Children, with dishes that are easy to prepare with the help of the children themselves. There are also new columns, for example Simple but good, to rediscover many traditional recipes; Our cooking school, techniques and secrets revealed by experts for always perfect results; Gifts for the home, a guide to the latest tools and appliances on the market.
The offer of Cucina Moderna is completed by the Shopping Guide, an even richer section at the front of the magazine, with precise and reliable advice on buying the right ingredients and cooking tasty dishes with seasonal products; In the kitchen with Alessio and Made at home with Sara, recipes by the chef Alessio Algherini and cooking instructor and expert Sara Papa.
